Spring in Nashville

Hi everyone! I’m Dawn from The Nashville Mom. After being a follower of The Nashville Mom for a few years, I took over this little corner of the internet last summer. You can find out about the latest Nashville happenings, the best places around town and all things family friendly! The Nashville Mom also hosts events around town. Today, I’ll be sharing with you some of favorite springtime events in Nashville!

Nashville comes alive in springtime with festivals, outdoor concerts and food trucks all over town! Here are a few events to mark on your calendar this spring!

Cheekwood in Bloom

  • When: Saturday, March 17th through April 15th
  • Where: Cheekwood Botanical Gardens
  • What: Over 100,000 tulips and other flowers including daffodils, hyacinths, snowdrops, crocus and more will be in bloom around the gardens.

Edgehill Rocks

  • When: Saturday, April 7th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Where: Edgehill Village
  • Free annual outdoor music, art and food celebration in Edgehill Village. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Organized Neighbors of Edgehill.

Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival

  • When: Saturday, April 14th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Where: Public Square Park
  • What: Free, family-friendly celebration of Japanese culture in Nashville including a Cherry Blossom Walk, Japanese Music and Dance, Martial Arts Demonstrations, food trucks, vendors and cultural lectures.

Nashville Food and Wine Festival

  • When: Saturday, April 14th from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Where: Bicentennial Mall
  • What: The event will feature over 30 wineries, local restaurants, breweries, a beer garden, cocktail lounge, and local vendors. General admission $85

The Nashville Flea Market

  • When: April 27th through April 29th and May 25th through May 27th
  • Where: The Nashville Fairgrounds
  • What: Treasure hunt with hundreds of vendors offering antique and unique finds. Each month is a different theme at the market.

Sevier Park Festival

  • When: Saturday, May 4th and Sunday, May 5th
  • Where: Sevier Park
  • What: Friday night will be a ticketed concert from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. with performances by J Roddy Walston and The Business, Amanda Shires, and SUSTO. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 the week of the concert. Saturday’s festival is FREE and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will feature live music, art, fashion, food, a bike race, hot wing eating contest, kids and more!

Shop, Sip, Give Night Market

  • When: The THIRD Friday of the month from 5-9 p.m. beginning in May
  • Where: Nashville Farmer’s Market
  • What: Market House restaurants and shops, guest artisans, farmers and small businesses, live music, a cash bar and family friendly activities.
